Contabo's pricing page has no term selector at all; it labels each figure "for the first 24 months" and footnotes it as "the effective monthly rate for a 24-month subscription including applicable taxes". Month-to-month, Cloud VPS 4 lists at €5.50 net (checked 5 August 2026).
Contabo's terms state: "If the customer's place of regular abode is located outside Germany, then payment for all the services of the Provider will fall due immediately." With a non-German billing address the order summary reads "Due Today — Prepaid 24 Months". German customers are billed in monthly instalments. Luxvps bills monthly regardless of where you are.
Windows Server Datacenter (2016 through 2025, all at the same rate on a given plan) adds €8.00 net per month on Cloud VPS 4, more than doubling the month-to-month cost of the server, and with VAT it bills as €9.52 at 19% or €10.00 at 25%. The licence scales with the plan: €17.00/mo net on Cloud VPS 6 and €28.00/mo net on Cloud VPS 8. There is no setup fee for it. Luxvps includes Windows Server at no extra charge.
