Choose Your Plan
Intel Xeon Gold / E5-2697 v2 · KVM · Full root access · Equinix Frankfurt
What's Included
Every plan ships with everything you need to run a mail server — minus the configuration, which is up to you.
SSH root access from day one. Install any OS, any software, any configuration — complete freedom over the server.
Dedicated KVM virtualisation — no container restrictions. Your processes run with full OS isolation, no shared kernel limitations.
One dedicated IPv4 and a /64 IPv6 block per VPS. Essential for email deliverability — configure reverse DNS (PTR record) on your IPv4 to match your mail domain.
Your server IP is covered by Luxvps's network-level DDoS mitigation — keeping your mail server reachable even under attack.
1 Gbps network port from Equinix FR7, connected to DE-CIX for fast, low-latency email delivery across Europe.
Reinstall your OS at any time from the billing panel. Linux distributions available — choose what your mail software requires.
Quick Guide
A high-level overview to help you get started. We recommend Mail-in-a-Box or iRedMail for the easiest setup experience.
Place your order and receive your root credentials by email. Log in via SSH: ssh root@your-server-ip. Update the system: apt update && apt upgrade -y
In your domain registrar's DNS panel, set an A record for mail.yourdomain.com pointing to your VPS IP. Then set an MX record pointing to mail.yourdomain.com.
Set a reverse DNS (PTR) record for your VPS IP directly from your control panel — no support ticket needed. Point it to mail.yourdomain.com. This is required for good email deliverability — ISPs reject mail from IPs without a matching PTR record.
Mail ports are blocked by default. Open a support ticket to request that ports 25, 465, 587, 993, and 995 be unblocked for your VPS. This is required before your mail server can send or receive email.
We recommend Mail-in-a-Box (automated all-in-one setup) or iRedMail (more control). Both install Postfix, Dovecot, spam filtering, and a webmail interface with a single command.
Add SPF, DKIM, and DMARC DNS records as instructed by your mail software. These authentication records are critical for inbox delivery and preventing your domain from being spoofed.
Luxvps provides the VPS infrastructure and the above guide as a courtesy. We do not provide technical support for mail server installation, configuration, or troubleshooting. If you need help with email setup, we recommend the Mail-in-a-Box community or the iRedMail forum. For infrastructure issues (network, hardware, IP), our support team is always available via support ticket.
