Luxvps is an x86 KVM VPS host running from Equinix Frankfurt (FR5/FR7/FR8) with plans from €4.50/mo, billed monthly with no minimum term. It is built as a straightforward alternative to Netcup's ARM G11 plans, which netcup currently lists as sold out, can carry a 12-month minimum term, and are advertised incl. 19% VAT. Every Luxvps plan includes free 4x daily backups, NVMe RAID-1 storage, and 3.2 Tbit/s Premium DDoS Protection, against the 2 Tbit/s netcup guarantees.
Common Reasons
These are the specifics that tend to send people comparing VPS providers. All figures are based on Netcup's ARM G11 VPS line as advertised on netcup.com/en/server/arm-server (August 2026), which netcup's own banner currently lists as sold out.
Netcup's ARM G11 line runs on ARM64 (Ampere Altra Max) processors, which can require ARM-compatible software and may not run x86-only binaries, anti-cheat, or some game-server builds. It is a separate product line from Netcup's x86 vServers.
Several of Netcup's larger, discounted VPS plans carry a 12-month minimum term to get the advertised price.
Netcup's advertised VPS prices include 19% VAT, which is part of the sticker price shown on their site.
Netcup's own banner on its ARM server page reads: "Our VPS ARM are currently sold out." The plans are still advertised, but you cannot order one today.
Netcup states its ARM64 vServers include "a hard disk provided via a fast and secure RAID", but does not publish which RAID level. Luxvps publishes it: NVMe RAID-1, mirrored.
Netcup operates from Nuremberg, Vienna, Amsterdam and Manassas (USA), plus Singapore on its x86 line. Some users specifically want Frankfurt, one of the world's largest internet exchanges.
